Carol I. (Shick) Jackson

Carol I. (Shick) Jackson, 79 of Clymer, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home surround by her loving family.

She was the daughter of Wallace and Florence (Shaffer) Shick, born October 26, 1938 in Mt. Tabor, PA.

Carol was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She was passionate about baking and cooking for her family and friends.  Her strong faith and commitment to family were inspirational to all who knew and loved her. 

Carol was a long-time member of Heilwood Presbyterian Church where she served in various capacities. 

Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Indiana VNA Hospice for the wonderful care they provided her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Albert J. Jackson of Clymer; four children, Doug A. Jackson and wife Desi of Nolo, Jill A. DaBella and husband Paul of Penn Run, Guy M. Jackson and wife Lisa of Blairsville, Kara K. Gratzmiller and husband Jay of Butler; three brothers and one sister, Gerald Shick of Homer City, Dennis Shick and wife Shirley, Patty Ryan, Gary Shick and wife Lisa all of Indiana; ten grandchildren, Brody Jackson, Garrett and Nicole DaBella, Sarah DaBella, Matthew, Rachel and Emily Jackson, Cade, Raine and Jace Gratzmiller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, and one sister, Joyce Marshall.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer.  Carol’s funeral service will be at 11 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Heilwood Presbyterian Church.  Interment will follow in the Laurel Swamp Cemetery, Clymer, PA.
