Stephen Charles Zias, Jr. was born in Indiana, PA on January 25, 1943. He attended Indiana High School. He enjoyed swimming, running and weight lifting in his younger days. He trained as a welder and spent several years working at industrial manufacturing companies. Steve joined the Marines during the height of the Vietnam War even though he had an exemption and served in the war zone. He was always proud of being the “old man” in his platoon who could out run, out shoot and be the good example for his team mates. He remained part of the “Mean, Green, Marine Machine” throughout his life. Semper Fidelis!
Steve was well known around Clymer where he lived for many years and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved going to Luigi’s and Bob’s Pizza. Everyone knew Steve enjoyed Wapahos.
