Albert B. Gromley, 81 of Cherry Tree, PA., passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his home.
He was the son of Blair J. and Charlotte “Lottie” (McDonald) Gromley, born on December 16, 1937 in Cherry Tree, PA.
Albert was a lifetime member of the Heilwood Sportsman’s Club. He worked at Montgomery Wards for 42 years in Indiana, PA. Albert loved hunting and having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren around.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marlene H. (Dropp) Gromley of Cherry Tree; five children, Karen Barto of Glen Campbell, Kathleen Rabiega and husband Harold of Raleigh, NC, Michael Gromley and wife Kim of Northern Cambria, PA, Linda Reynolds and husband Tom of Marshall, VA, Lisa Davis of MD; 13 grandchildren, Andrew, Amber, Rick, Jacob, Bert, Sarah, Courtney, Danielle, Charlie, Chad, Haley, Holly and Thomas and 17 great-grandchildren; one nephew, George MacBlaine.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Meredith MacBlaine.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Albert’s funeral Service will be on Sunday, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert White, officiant. Interment will be private.
