Anthony W. (Tony) Mamrowich, 70 of Ernest, PA., passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.
He was the son of Anthony and Helen (Raymond) Mamrowich, born October 3, 1953, in Indiana, PA.
Tony graduated from Marion Center High School in 1971. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest. Tony worked at McCreary Tire until the closing of the plant. He also worked at the Assumption Church in Ernest and St. Bernard’s Church in Indiana for many years as the custodian retiring in 2010. Tony loved to listen to polkas on Saturday and Sundays on the radio as he was so proud to be polish. He also loved hunting and fishing and was so proud of his little granddaughter, Gabby. He was a man who didn’t show his love outwardly, but he had a heart of gold.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen (Pauline) Pavlosky Mamrowich. They would have celebrated 47 years of marriage next month. Also surviving is his daughter, Rachel Barris and husband Mark and granddaughter, Gabriella, Son Joseph and significant other, Rachel Chichy and her daughter Kiera, sister, Mary Ann Shaffer, Special Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Carol and Larry Weaver. Many nieces and nephews and many caring and loving friends and relatives.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10am to 12 noon at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Tony’s funeral service will follow at noon with Father James Morley, officiant. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
