Donald R. Learn, 66 of Indiana, PA., passed on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his home.
He was the son of Charles R. and Gladys I. (Shaffer) Learn, born on January 26, 1959, in Indiana, PA.
Don worked various jobs thru his life starting at Mussers Nursery, then the gas fields and even learning the art of plastering. He always marched to a different drummer and at full speed and no matter what it was, he gave it his all. Don was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery and fly fishing by using and making his own recurve bows and fly-fishing rods and even tying his own flies. He also became quite an accomplished wood turner, sharing his creations with family and friends.
He is survived by four children, Dustin Learn of Marion Center, Jacquie Scheckles and husband James both stationed in San Diego, Charles Smith and Haley of Blairsville, and Ted Smith of Indiana, five brothers and sisters, Karen Crowder of McConnellsburg, Larry Learn and wife Susan of Penn Run, Donna Cummings and husband Jerry of Smithers BC Canada, Judy Christopher and husband Jeff of FL, Lori Cramer of Indiana, and six grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gary Learn.
The family would like to thank Hospice for making the journey easier.
All services will be private for the family, the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer is assisting the Learn Family. A memorial bn service will be planed in the summer when the fish are biting.
