Donald G. Ruffner Sr.

Donald G. Ruffner Sr., 92 of Tanoma, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home.

He was the son of George and Gerturde (Donehay) Ruffner, born December 3, 1931, In Tonoma, PA.

Don was a member of the Tonoma Methodist Church and the Marion Center Lions Club.  He loved to fish and hunt but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Mae (Hess) (Young) Ruffner, 5 children, Cathy Lechien and husband Charles, Donald G. Ruffner Jr., and wife Cheryl, Timothy Ruffner and wife Barbara, Rose Martin, Thomas Ruffner, and wife Traci, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, he also raised 4 step children, Rob Young and wife Kelly; Lisa Evans, Brian Young, Dennis Young and wife Samatha.  He also raised one grandson, Michael Young..

Don was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald, one grandson, Daniel, first wife, Winoma (Lewis) Ruffner, one brother, Richard, three sisters, Ruth Fleming, Betty Muckle, Nancy Kahabka.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer.  Interment will be made in the Ruffner Cemetery, private for the family.
