Dorene Wolfe

Dorene Wolfe, 85 of Penn Run, PA., passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Center, Indiana.

She was the daughter of George and Sarah Violet (Dunmire) Wolfe, born on October 3, 1939 on the family farm in Cherryhill Township.

Dorene was an avid hunter, hunting with the family on the family farm.  She traveled several times to Alaska with friends on hunting trips and brought back several bear and a timber wolf, all in her trophy room on the farm.  She will be deeply missed by all of her nieces, nephews and friends that knew her.

She is survived by one sister, Gayle Snyder, sister-in-law, Ruby Wolfe, she is also survived by the following nieces and nephews, Joyce (Snyder) Pomana, Donna (Snyder) Brahaney, Mary (Wolfe) Orr, Violet (Wolfe) Clement, Sarah (Wolfe) Smith, Daniel Wolfe, and Brian Wolfe.

Dorene was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Floyd “Dick” Wolfe, Donna Arlene Wolfe, and Daniel Wolfe.

As per Dorene’s wishes all services will be private, the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer is assisting the Wolfe family.
