Gary J. Jones

Gary J. Jones, 70 of Heilwood, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his home.

He was the son of John R. and Betty M. (Myers) Levis, born on February 24 1948 in Spangler, PA.

Gary was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood.  He served in the United States Coast Guard.  Gary was an avid fisherman and he loved football, leather work, wood working.  He was the family handyman.  Gary was a mason at IUP for 18 years before he retired in 2016.  Most of all Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa E. (Francis) Jones of Heilwood; four children, Loralee Fennell and husband Brian of Heilwood, Stephanie Hoke and husband David of OH, Michael Jones and wife Jennifer of Pittsburgh, Steven Jones of OH; four brothers and sisters, Wayne (Jack) Myers and wife Linda of Mahaffey, George (Bob) Jones and wife Nancy of Heilwood, Malinda Levis of Penn Run, sister-in-law, Lucille Jones of OH,; four grandchildren, Ty and Rena Fennell, Carson and Elyse Hoke and one step-granddaughter, Corrine Batey; special family friend, Jodi Solito and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother William (Smokey) Jones.

Friends will be received on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer with military rites at 6 pm by the Clymer American Legion post 222.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am at the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood.  Interment will be in Cameron’s Bottom cemetery.
