James E Saurer

James Emerson Saurer, 86 of Mentcel, Pa. went to be with his savior on December 30, 2025.

James was born on June 20, 1939, in Barberton, Ohio, to Robert and Margret (Keck) Saurer.

He graduated from Norton High School in Norton Ohio. .James married Dolores Thornton and together they shared 56 years .Jim enjoyed hiking and being  outdoors in nature, but he  received the most joy spending time with his family and friends. James was proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Carol Kelly.

James is survived by his wife Dolores. Sons, Tim (Marsha) and John (Kristy) , Brothers Phillip (Judy), and Gilbert, two grandchildren Lauren and Josh, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with James’ wishes all services will be private.
