Joseph James

Joseph John James, entered into his heavenly home, March 29, 2024, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.  He was born, November 18, 1937, in Lucernemines, son to Francis Jordan James and Virginia Dare (Hamilton) James.

He graduated from Laura Lamar High School in 1956 and received an Assoc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ICS.  Joe was employed by Runzo’s Food Market while in high school and after graduation went to work for FMC.  He retired after 43 years.

Joe was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer, PA.

He enjoyed working on his family tree and researched his family back in Wales.  His hobbies were playing golf, traveling, working in the garden and walking.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Delores (Kowchuck) James, sisters, Susan Bellman and Dorothy Henry and a brother, Robert James.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Pozzini James, sons, Frank (Diane), Joseph T. (Karen) and Raymond (fiancé, Sherry Roland), Lucernemines, daughter, Loretta Conti, (fiancé, Luke Jack), Indiana, brother, Francis James, MS, sisters, Salva Holloman, MD, and Sharon Pruginic, FL, grandchildren, Kayla James, Lucernemines, Corey Conti, Marion Center, Briana, Matthew, and Emily James, TX, Amanda Jack, Indiana and four great-grandchildren,  four step children, John Pozzini, Charles Pozzini (Maureen) and Fred Pozzini (Diane) OH and Mary Sasser (Steve) LA, five step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer.  Joe’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer, with Fr. James Morley, celebrant.  Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
