Kathryn (Zias) Roof

Kathryn (Zias) Roof, 95 of Indiana, PA., passed away on March 25, 2025,  at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of Frank T. and Martha (Gresko) Zias, born on June 26, 1929, in Homer City, PA.

Kathryn was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer.  She will always be remembered for her famous soups that she made every week while working with her son at Fox’s Pizza in Clymer.  Kathryn loved to cook and Sunday dinners and holidays with the family were the best times.  One of her greatest adventures was going to the Grand Ole Opry to see her grandson, Frank Ray perform on stage.  Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was so proud of all the accomplishments that her grandchildren achieved.  Kathryn was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by five children, Donna Oblinsky of OH, Walter Roof and wife Toni of NM, William Roof of Indiana, Timothy Roof and wife Jennifer of NC, Jerry Roof and wife Julie of Indiana, ten grandchildren, Richard Oblinsky and wife Kim, Tina Wilson and fiancé Daniel Dejanovic, Dr. Clinton Roof and wife Dr. Trista Mills, Levi Roof and wife Dana, Emily Gomez and husband Frank, Joshua Roof, Madison Roof and fiancé Logan Beatty, Kayla Nesmith and husband Brandon, TJ Roof and Danielle Roof, ten great-grandchildren, Richard Oblinsky, Nick Oblinsky, Madalyn Wilson, Sophia Wilson, Killian Roof, Everly Roof, Evander Roof, Chloe Gomez, Mackenzie Gomez, and Olivia Gomez,.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter T. Roof in 2005, son-in-law Richard Oblinsky, three sisters, Rose Savini, Anna Martin Lacause, Mary Horvath, five brothers, Michael, Steve, John, Pete, and Harry.  She was the last of her immediate family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sullivan and staff and  365 Hospice for all of their compassion, care and support at this time.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3 pm to 7pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 10 am at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer, with Fr. James Morley, celebrant.  Please go directly to the church for the Mass on Saturday
