Kenneth Schreckengost Sr,

Kenneth Schreckengost Sr., 85, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Fred and Grace (Simmers) Schreckengost, he was born November 14, 1934 in Indiana, PA.

Ken was called home to join his wife Shirley of 64 years (who passed two weeks ago) so they could be together for eternity. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.  Ken enjoyed working outside around the house and always fixing things for other people. He loved spending time fishing, hunting and playing with all his children and grandchildren. Later in life, Ken taught himself fly fishing and mastered the art of tying and creating his own flies.  He always had a great love for the companionship of their three dogs Pipper, Precious and Mitzy.

Along with his wife Shirley, they loved traveling, camping and enjoying life to its fullest with all their friends and family along the way. They worked hard to be able to spend winters in Fort Myers, Florida, summer-time at home and the fall months camping in the mountains.

Ken and Shirley were blessed with the amazing support they received from their children and especially their grandchildren Heather and Rick who provided for their day to day needs, shared loving compassion and kept them healthy and safe for the past 3 years.  

Again, a special 'Thank You' to our good friend Vicki for helping our father through the end of his journey with dignity and grace!

Our family would also like to thank the VNA Hospice program for all their loving care and compassion they showed our father and our family.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth (Jackie) Schreckengost, Jr., Robert Schreckengost, and Connie A. Bence; grandchildren, Robert Schreckengost, Jr., Heather (Rick) Schreckengost-Rotosky, Mitchell Timblin, Tyler Schreckengost, Matthew Schreckengost, Staci Wheatley, Catherine Wheatley, Amanda Peterson, Sarah Bence and Matthew Bence; great-grandchildren, Nathan Rotosky, Madison Bence, Brooklyn Bence and Aurora Timblin,; sister, Francis VanHorn, and brother, Harold (Butch) Schreckengost

Preceding Ken in death were his wife Shirley, his brother James Schreckengost, his parents and his great granddaughter Lilly Rotosky.

All services will be private and the family is being assisted by the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer, PA.
