Lawrence “Larry” E. Rager, 86 of Indiana, PA., passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at his home.
He was the son of James W. and Sophie (Kerestesy) Rager, born December 29, 1939 in Clymer, PA.
Larry attended Ambrose Baptist Church in Ambrose and was a faithful member for many years.
Along with his beloved rhubarb plants, Larry was most proud of his children: Ed Rager (Kathy), Jim Rager, Donna Patterson (Thomas), Sally Foxwell (Clarence), and Mary Crawford (Charles); and his daughter-in-law, Ann Rager. He will also be dearly missed by his 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Larry was an outgoing and friendly man who cherished his church family, neighbors, and many friends. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, attending yard sales, challenging himself with puzzles, reading the newspaper, and listening to his police scanner—sometimes a little too loudly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella ”JoAnn” ; son, Sam Rager; his sisters, Betty Nicholson and Juanita Carol Rager; and his brothers, Jerry and James Rager.
