Lynn M. Misko

Lynn M. (Thomas) Misko, 68, of Clymer, PA., passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at her home.

She was the daughter of John R. and Mary Ann (Slovensky) Thomas, born on December 28, 1950 in Indiana, PA.

Lynn attended Clymer Elementary and Graduated from Penns Manor High School in 1968.  After graduation she worked with her parents in the family business, Thomas Floral in Clymer.

She married Terry W. Misko, upon his enlistment in the Marine Corp., they were stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  She and Terry had three boys.  After his death she moved back to Clymer and returned to the family business.  Upon her parents, retirement, Lynn and Dan Berkey who would become her life partner sharing 35 years.  Together they purchased the family business and raised her three boys.

After retiring from the floral business, she went to Walmart spending 18 years within various Departments, retiring from the accounting department.

During her many years in Clymer, at the shop, at home or the beach she could be found doing counting cross stich or crocheting whether for sale at the shop, craft shows or as gifts, many of which were blue ribbon winners at local fairs.

She was never so happy as to be found sitting in a chair at home with Dan and the boys, crocheting, reading a book or setting in the sand at Ormond Beach, Florida. 

Her four-year health battle kept her from doing many of the things she had dreamed, however she did spend as much quality time with her grandchildren as possible as well as attending her son’s wedding.

She is survived by her partner, Daniel R. Berkey of Clymer, three sons, Eric S. Misko and wife Stephanie of Clymer, Cory R. Misko of Twin Falls, Idaho, Tyler E. Misko and wife Wanda of Strasburg, PA., one brother, Brian Thomas and wife Karen of Clymer, Kelly Norman and husband Bob of Bird-in-Hand, PA and Tracy Thomas of Willow Street, PA., four grandchildren, three niece and five nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry W. Misko, and one brother, Raymond Thomas.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer, PA.  Her funeral service will be Monday, 10 am at the funeral home with Fr. Gregorio dela Cruz Soldevilla Jr.  Interment will be private at Greenwood Cemetery.

The boys, Dan and her family would like to thank her doctors, Drs. Lamantia, Bajwa, Metzger, and Ramineni and other medical clinicians.  Kelly and the staff at Anew Home Heath and Indiana VNA Hospice.  For their tireless dedication to Lynn’s care.  And a very special thanks to her nurse and friend Cathy.
