Merrett C. Adams

Merrett C. Adams, 90, of Marion Center, PA., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at his home.

He was the son of Merle and Ruth (Putt) Adams, born October, 5, 1929 in Indiana, PA.

Merrett worked as a heavy equipment operator all his life.  He enjoyed family most but also had great interest in farming, wood working and working canvas with is wife, Verna Jean.

He is survived by his seven children, Patricia Adams of Home, PA, Linda Wolfe and husband Rodney of Marion Center, Timothy Adams and wife Susie of Indiana, PA, Rodger Adams and significant other, Edith of Easley, SC, Robert Adams and significant other Emily Aikens of Plumville, Cathy Fleming and significant other Danny Henry of Marion Center, Melissa Adams of Marion Center.

Merrett is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Verna Jean Adams, two sons, (Infant) Scott Brian Adams and LCP Samuel Charles Adams, two grandsons,  infant, Chadwick Eugene Adams, Thomas Eugene Jodon Sr., a great-grandson, Arthur King Jr.,  a great-great granddaughter, infant, Ruthie Boozel, two sisters and five brothers.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 1 to 4 pm with his service to follow at 4 at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer.  Interment will be private for the family.
