Tarik Abd Obituary

Tarik Siduf Abd, 54 of Rochester Mills, PA passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in an accident at his home.

Tarik was born September 6, 1971 in Baghdad, Iraq. He traveled from Iraq to several other countries in the Middle East before becoming a missionary in Brazil, where he met his wife, Amelia. Tarik made good friends everywhere he went.

Though his time with his family ended far too soon, Tarik lived a life defined by love, laughter, and devotion to his family. He could fix anything and loved working on renovation projects so much that he turned it into a business. He was often found doing home improvements and landscaping. He always made people laugh with jokes and good-natured tricks. Tarik was so full of joy that he often sang when he woke up in the morning. His family has many fond memories of going for walks, road trips, and doing yard work together, usually followed by some ice cream. He didn’t cook often, but he was a trained chef who could make a delicious meal out of anything and really enjoyed good food. Tarik had a knack for decorating and landscaping and left his mark on many homes. He had a strong love for Christmas and started decorating the house in October. Above all, Tarik loved Jesus his savior and desired for all to know him.  He volunteered with ABWE and other organizations to develop programs to train fellow missionaries. He ran a sports center in Brazil where he worked with impoverished children, teaching them both soccer and the Bible.

Though he missed his Iraqi family greatly, he found a second family with his in-laws and extended family and friends in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Amelia Jeanne Lewis and their three children, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Lincoln Abd, all of Rochester Mills, as well as two brothers and two sisters who reside in Iraq.

Tarik was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer PA.
